About the Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors play in Oakland, California. They were founded in 1946 and they were called the Philadelphia Warriors. They played 1946-1962 with general manager Eddie Gottlieb. They won their first championship in 1947 and their second in 1952 while in Philadelphia. In 1962 they changed their name to the San Francisco Warriors. In 1971 they changed their name again to the Golden State Warriors where they won their third championship in 1975. Now Golden State is trying to come back and win another championship in 2014 with their head coach Mark Jackson Going 2-2 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Golden State Stephen Curry son of the NBA legend Dell Curry is the star point guard for the Golden State Warriors.
